However, recent actions by the FDA are setting new precedents that could limit the scientific community’s ability to use certain methodologies, communicate its findings, share research and develop new therapies that could improve the lives of millions. In fact, if the government prevails in this effort, private companies, scientific organizations and academic researchers could be criminalized simply for publicizing their methods.
